Dambu, is an Hausa word that means “mixture”. It is also the name of a delicacy made from cooked, pounded and shredded meat(beef, chicken, lamb, fish) that is seasoned and deep-fried. There are different types of Dambu but the most common one is Dambu shinkafa, which is made from rice, moringa leaves and carrot. Dambu is a popular snack in Hausa cuisine and can be eaten on its own or with other dishes.
